THE STORY
Created in 1892 for a Chicago Tribune contest the symbol represents the three branches of the Chicago River which forms a Y at Wolf Point where the main branch of the river divides into the north and south branches. The symbol is hidden in plain sight all across the city and can be found on building facades bridges and on the famous Chicago Theater marquee. The symbol used to be as iconic as the Chicago flag and now we're bringing it back on this heathered tee.
